Sodexo Ventures has announced an investment in isahit, a Tech for Good company that provides a platform for data labelling and data processing.
Building Artificial Intelligence capabilities requires both human and machine intelligence. In this context, isahit connects more than 160 clients with women data labelers across 25 different countries. With this increased data labelling capability, Artificial Intelligence project owners have the power to accelerate the training and development of their machine learning algorithms.
Since 2016, Sodexo Ventures has sought sources of future growth by investing in and partnering with innovative startups to create new offers for clients and consumers. Sodexo Ventures’ investment in isahit comes as Sodexo is increasingly focused on delivering data products powered by machine learning algorithms.
“isahit is a great partner to accelerate Sodexo’s data journey,” explains Belen Moscoso del Prado, Group Chief Digital and Innovation Officer at Sodexo. “They provide our Data Lab with invaluable resources, and they do so in a socially responsible way, aligned with Sodexo’s sustainable and inclusive business model.”
This investment also resonates with Sodexo’s engagement with Stop Hunger Foundation initiatives, including acting for a hunger-free world and empowering women.
“We are proud of this partnership with Sodexo, which demonstrates the link between technology and people,” said Isabelle Mashola, President and Co-Founder of isahit. “Digital can be a tremendous lever for female empowerment and it helps reduce the digital divide in emerging countries. With this partnership, isahit and Sodexo are pushing forward the Tech for Good revolution.”
